Next Step Dance Studio Monthly Adult Classes

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – Did you know there are over 52 types of dance? At Next Step Dance Studio you have a chance to learn one of them every third Monday of the month this Fall.

The class is limited to ten people or five couples over 18 years old. Every month features a different type of Ballroom Latin dance that you can use at the next wedding you go to.

“Our idea is to hopefully get you trained, relaxed and to just have fun with the dances in general,” said instructor Jon Young.

Young teaches the monthly class with Morgan Wells, another teacher at Next Step Dance.

Usually it is couples who sign up, but if someone signs up as a single, they get to pair up with one of the teachers, said Wells.

Last night featured the “Fox Trot” which is commonly seen on Dancing with the Stars.

“They seem to have a lot of fun,” said Wells. “They joke around and say they’re going to practice at home. They seem to really enjoy it.”

There are three more classes left this year. The next one will feature the “Cha Cha” on Nov. 18.
