NORMAL – The twelfth annual Fiesta Latina will be this Saturday in the Prairie Room at the Bone Student Center. The event will have a live salsa band for the beginning along with a full buffet for dinner from 7-8 p.m.
After dinner, the room will turn into a dance party as there will be a live DJ that will be performing until close, which will be around 11 p.m. Fiesta Latina does not have a dress code but encourages you to wear a nice and semi formal outfit for dinner.
Last year Fiesta Latina drew in a total of 250 people but this year only 180 tickets are available. Marinelly Castillo, who is the advisor of the Spanish Club here at ISU, says that it is one of the most popular hispanic events all year in Bloomington-Normal.
“This is one of the biggest events for the hispanic community that we have here in Bloomington-Normal, and every year more people show up.”
The event, as it is every year, is sure to be a good time for all in attendance.
