NORMAL, Ill. – Culture and food is going above and beyond at Illinois State University.

ISU is hosting it’s 49th annual international fair.

This event presents a great opportunity for students or members of the community to see different things.

This event will celebrate the uniqueness we have in our world. Maybe more than anything else, the fair brings a sense of family and togetherness.

“It’s a great opportunity for all the different international groups or even people who are interested in international subjects or materials to come together so there really is that sense of community or that sense of even family that comes through the fair,”said Adviser to the United International Association Matt Schwab.

The fair will feature food, music, entertainment and traditional cultural clothing from around the world.

Student groups as well as different communities will have country and region displays available for anyone to drop by to see.

Cultural booths will also be available and will feature a broad variety of artifacts, clothing and artwork.

In addition there will be some live performances.

Performances of traditional music and dance will take place on the main stage by members from the school and the community.

Visitors could sample and purchase a wide variety of ethnic foods prepared by different organizations.

This free event will be held on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Brown Ballroom of the Bone Student Center.
