Starting off with Bloomington Central Catholic, the last undefeated team remaining in the area. The Saints have had a dominant season, displaying what a well-rounded team should look like. Their least amount of points they have scored this season is 21, and that was in the first week. The Saints look to continue their perfect season at home against Prairie Central this Friday at 7 p.m.
Normal University is looking for one last playoff push this week against Lanphier at home Friday at 7 p.m. They have there share of struggles but are looking to overcome those struggles this week and prove why they should be in the playoffs. With a win this week, the Pioneers will show why records don’t matter come playoff time.
One of the hottest teams in the area right now is Normal West. The Wildcats are on a 4 game win streak with a 6-2 record. This Friday they face off against Urbana in front of their home crowd at 7 p.m.
Bloomington has had a rough go as of late. The Purple Raiders started the season off great with a 5-0 record, but have now lost three games in a row. This Friday night they have a huge opportunity to bounce back before the playoffs start. They play on the road Friday at 7 p.m against Centennial to keep their dreams of a state championship alive.
Normal Community is coming off an impressive 56-6 win last week to improve their record to 7-1. The Ironmen are not only undefeated in conference play, but also have one of the best offenses in the state. They have not put up less than 28 points all season, and look to continue their offensive hot streak this Friday at 7 p.m on the road. They will face off against Peoria, and try to get some extra confidence going into the state playoffs.
