Uptown Normal Businesses Close due to Train Derailment

NORMAL, Ill. – A few restaurants in Uptown Normal are closing for the day (Feb 13.) due to the train derailment.
Maggie Miley’s and D.P. Dough will be closed due to possible power outages. Both restaurants plan to reopen tomorrow, Sun. Feb 14.
Uptown Gifts and Accessories will remain open as long as they are able before power is shut off. Normal Theater will be canceling screenings for the day and plan to reopen tomorrow.

Due to a power outage related to the train derailment we’ll be closed all day on Saturday, February 13.
We hope to reopen for lunch on Sunday, February 14.

There has been a train derailment causing a collision with a…UPDATE: Due to the nearby train derailment in Uptown Normal, the 3pm screening of LITTLE FISH and the 7pm screening of CASABLANCA for Saturday, Feb. 13 have been canceled. Staff will contact ticket holders with further information. More on Feb. 14 shows as we have it.
