Redbirds Look To Extend Winning Streak Against UT Martin

NORMAL, Ill. – The Redbirds are off to a 2-0 start as they prepare to play UT Martin at home on Sunday at 6 pm. 

The Redbirds are kicking off the 2026 season on a high note with their best start since 2014. On Thursday, ISU won a close game against the Lindenwood Lions, with sophomore Rylann Law scoring the only goal of the game. 

The match against Lindenwood marked goalkeeper Madi Valenti’s her 18th career shutout, moving her to No. 4 in program history. 

Rylann Law stands out as the player to watch on Sunday, as she has scored in both games to start this season. She is the only Redbird to record a goal in the first two games since 2021. Last season, in ISU’s first ever meeting with UT Martin, Law scored the lone goal in the Redbirds 1-0 victory.

The Skyhawks are traveling to Adelaide Street Field with a 1-0-2 record on the season after tying Middle Tennessee 0-0 on Thursday. The Redbirds will have to find a way to contain Junior midfielder Unni Wolf, who leads the team with two goals and eight assists on the season.
