#8: Redbird volleyball wins MVC tournament as the #3 Seed

NORMAL, Ill. – WZND is counting down the Top-10 redbird sports moments from the 2019-2020 season.

Coming in at #8 in our countdown is Redbird volleyball’s victory in the MVC Championship to the NCAA tournament.

Despite coming into the MVC tournament as the #3 seed, Redbird volleyball defeated the #1 seed UNI panthers to claim the MVC tourney crown. This earned them an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament where they went on to face the University of Wisconsin in the NCAA tournament.
