NORMAL, Ill. – Illinois State Volleyball came back after missing 3 weeks due to not having enough players medically eligible to play.
The Redbirds played host to the Missouri State Bears, who held the best record in the conference at 8-2 on the season. This didn’t scare the Redbirds as they would go out and dominate the Bears.

The Redbirds would come out with a strong performance in the first recording 16 kills with strong performances all around. The Bears did not let the Redbirds build much of a lead but would let things get away from them towards the end of the set which ended in a 25-20 set win for the Redbirds.
Set 2 was much closer with the Redbirds and the Bears battling back and forth. After going down 3-0 the Redbirds would bounce back. The Redbirds would have 14 kills in set 2 and would benefit from 9 errors by the Bears. This one was close but the Redbirds would win set 2 after an error by the Bears ending in a final score of 26-24.
