ISU Falls 42-10 in Challenging Homecoming Showdown

NORMAL,Ill. – Illinois State Football took on #2 ranked North Dakota State. Coming into this homecoming game the Redbirds were 3-1 and on a three game winning streak.
In the first quarter of this game the Bisons would score a touchdown first. To close out the first half the Bisons would score another touchdown to take a 14-0 lead. After a two yard run from Wenkers Wright the Redbirds would score their first touchdown of the game and only trail by a touchdown heading into the half.
In the third quarter the Bisons would score three touchdowns unanswered to go up 35-7, and ultimately put the Redbirds away. . The Redbirds would go on to lose this game 42-10.
ISU QB Tommy Rittenhouse would finish the game with 132 yards through the air. Wenkers Wright finished with 24 yds and a touchdown.
The Redbirds finished with 206 total yards of offense compared to the Bisons 544 yards. They move to 3-2 on the season.They will travel to Carbondale on Saturday to play Southern Illinois.
