NORMAL, Ill. — Bloomington-Normal IHSA football teams went a combined 3-2 in week four. All five teams will be in action tonight looking to add on to improve their records.

Bloomington Central Catholic will return home after its 56-20 road win against Rantoul. The Saints will take on 4-0 Monticello this week. The Saints look to continue fueling their high powered offense, which that has scored 40 or more points in all three of their wins.

Saints head coach Kevin Braucht says the team is coming together well following last week’s win.

“I think our team’s progressed and we’re right where we should be, you know, coming into week 5 of the season,” Braucht said. We will get some guys back this week from injury reserve, so we’re full strength and ready to roll.”

Bloomington High School is coming off a 44-7 loss to crosstown rival Normal West. The Purple Raiders are 2-2 on the year and they will take on 1-3 Richwoods in a road conference matchup. BHS has put up 99 points while giving up 91 points so far this season.

University High School will look to find the win column for the first time this season, as they are 0-4. The Pioneers take on MacArthur at home. The defense looks to strengthen and come together as they have given up 216 points in only four weeks. Head coach Brody Walworth is changing the vibes at practice while looking for the teams first win.

“I think we’ve had a little more fun this week,” said Walworth. We’ve been a little looser and I think that’s allowed us to play a little faster and freer out there and hopefully we see that this Friday.”

Normal West High School will host Peoria Notre Dame, following last weeks win against rival, Bloomington High School. The Wildcats is now 4-0 on the year and will look to keep their undefeated season alive against the Irish, who are 2-2.

>>>>Normal Community High School, also 4-0 on the year, will take on Champaign Central on the road. The Ironmen are ranked No.71t in Illinois after beating Peoria Notre Dame 56-35. The Ironmen offense has scored 209 points in four weeks this season.
