BLOOMINGTON, Ill.- On April 7, Mayor Tari Renner signed a proclamation affirming Governor J.B. Pritzker’s executive order, emphasizing the importance of the stay-at-home portion.
The City has had the ability to disburse crowds since the Governor’s order was issued and will continue to do so.
“I encourage all residents of the City to comply with the Governor’s Stay-at-Home Order for the health and safety of our community and further recognize the work of the Bloomington Police Department in its continued enforcement efforts including providing extra patrols of City parks and seeking voluntary compliance of the Stay-at-Home Order,” said Bloomington Renner.
The public witnesses a gathering of an inappropriate size, they are encouraged to contact Police non-emergency.
“As the COVID-19 situation continues in our community, the City’s priority is public safety. We thank the public for their cooperation during this time,” said Renner.
