BREAKING: President Dietz announces partial refund for students

NORMAL, Ill. – Illinois State University administration announces students will receive partial refunds for the Spring 2020 semester.
President Larry Dietz states that programs including the Governor’s Education Emergency Relief Fund and federal Coronavirus Air and Economic Securities Act will provide financial assistance to students.
“Soon you will be receiving a partial refund of mandatory student fees for the spring 2020 semester. The refund will be $12 per credit hour which will be applied to your student account,” stated Dietz.
Students with parking permits will also be receiving a refund that will vary based on the permit purchased. All refunds will be applied to individual student accounts.
Dietz also states the University will not be seeking increase tuition, room or broad for the following academic year.
Dietz made the announcement via email while giving insight towards the fall semester.
“Over the next month, we will continue making plans for a safe return of students, faculty, and staff in the fall while also investing time in developing contingency plans should a return to campus in the fall not be realistic,” stated Dietz.
Dietz assured to communicate further information about the fall 2020 semester in the next few weeks.
