Normal, Ill. – On behalf of the Illinois State University Business program, the George R. and Martha Means Center for Entrepreneurial Studies Center sponsored the Business Entrepreneurial Breakfast Speaker Series this past Friday, October 2nd AM.
This is a regular event that happens every year, bringing out alumni, friends and family to the Aaron Leetch Club at Hancock Stadium, where speakers and attendees had opportunities to get their photo taken during 8:30-9:30 AM.
With this breakfast it gave light to local businesses within McLean County such as Kelsey and Derek Durdle who are owners of Casey’s Garden Shop & Florist and Wendal Niepagen Greenhouses & Garden Center.
The floor was also open to other growing entrepreneurs to share their personal stories to empower others to be successful in the community. And this moment also gave them the opportunity to express themselves to students within the major.
These are the students who are pursuing business who got the chance to hear impactful lessons or needed some words of encouragement
The goal of the breakfast perfectly embodies what expectations the Martha Means Center for Entrepreneurial Studies Center had for its students, which is to empower the next generation of entrepreneurs within the business program by allowing them to connect with their community and give them important lessons that will later help build skills that are important for their careers.
For those within the business program who missed the opportunity last Friday but do want a chance to connect, the next breakfast event will be on Friday, November 6.
