BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – State Farm is closing two of its buildings and is consolidating its office space into one in what the company sees as a “new chapter.”

In an announcement shared with employees, CEO Joe Farney shared plans to bring all 13,000 Bloomington-based associates to the Corporate South campus.

Employees working at the Corporate Headquarters and Illinois Operations Center located in the area are expected to be relocated to Corporate South by the end of 2027.

“We simply have too much office space in Bloomington, about double what we need,” Farney said.

Farney mentioned that the future of the Corporate Headquarters and Illinois Operations Center is uncertain, but customers will be saving more due to the reduction in costs associated with unused office space.

The Corporate South campus is the newest local State Farm facility, as the company announced upgrades to the building are underway to maintain “a dynamic workplace.”

Bloomington Mayor Dan Brady is pleased with the company’s new direction.

In a statement from Brady March 19, he said, “Today’s announcement from State Farm is very encouraging news for Bloomington and a significant boost to our local economy.”

Decisions about what to do with the two vacant buildings have yet to be made.
