Illinois State Travels to Indiana to Face Evansville on Monday Night

NORMAL, Ill. – Illinois State looks for the season sweep versus Evansville Monday night.
Earlier this season, both teams met at CEFCU Arena, with ISU winning 73-47. Chase Walker led the Redbirds with 22 points.
Tonights tip-off is at 7 p.m. inside the Ford Center in Evansville, Indiana.
ISU comes into the game at 16 and 8 and is 8 and 5 in Missouri Valley Conference play. The Redbirds are currently on a one-game winning streak. Evansville is 5-19 and is 1-7 in conference play. The Purple Aces are on a six-game losing streak.
Walker leads ISU in scoring with 14 points and six rebounds per game. Johnny Kinziger averages 11 points along with three assists. Boden Skunberg and Ty’Reek Coleman both are averaging 10.5 points per game.
Evansville’s leading scorer is Connor Turnbull, who scores 11 and a half points per game. Turnbull has only played in 16 games this season. AJ Casey is right behind Turnbull with 11.4 points per game while shooting 50% from the field. Leif Moeller is the final double-digit scorer for the Purple Aces with 10.6 points per game.
