NORMAL, Ill. – The Redbirds were unable to stop the Salukis at CEFCU Arena, losing 54 to 50.

Illinois State defensively held SIU from three, only allowing one made three-pointer all game.

Ty Pence and Mason Klabo got the start for the Redbirds, but they were both unable to score. Ty’Reek Coleman was the fifth starter for ISU, and he finished with eight points.

The starting lineup featured no Kinziger or Boden Skunberg.

“The starting lineup is subject to change game by game,” said Ryan Pedon after the game.

The Redbirds’ record drops to 15-8 overall and 7-5 in conference play. They are next in action this Friday, back at CEFCU against the Drake Bulldogs at 7 p.m.
