Chase Walker Earns Second Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Week

NORMAL, Ill. – Following his double-double against Bradley this past Saturday, Walker was honored with MVC Player of the Week.
The Junior scored 20 points in both contests last week, with 21 at Indiana State and 20 versus Bradley. Against Bradley, Walker crashed the glass, grabbing 11 rebounds.
With the forward earning his second Player of the Week honor, Walker becomes the 11th player in program history to earn multiple Player of the Week honors.
The fourth career honor for Walker puts him tied for fourth with the most by a single athlete in program history.
The Redbirds are back in action at 8 p.m. on Wednesday at CEFCU Arena against Northern Iowa. If you cannot attend the game, make sure to tune into wznd’s broadcast with Jason Zaehler and Kole Schipper starting at 7:50 p.m.
