Two children now diagnosed with COVID-19 in McLean County

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – McLean County Health Department is reporting two children under the age of 10 diagnosed with COVID-19.

The county reports the two cases as ‘household contacts,” which means the children live in a house with another diagnosed individual.

This brings the county to a total of 85 confirmed cases. The county reports 72 individuals have recovered from the virus and eight are in home isolation. However, two individuals remain hospitalized and three have had deaths related to COVD-19.

The Illinois Department of Public Health reported an additional 1,197 new cases of COVID-19 and 33 additional deaths.

Illinois is now at a total 30,357 cases and 1,290 deaths relating to the virus.
