NORMAL, Ill. – A campus-wide e-mail was sent out by Illinois State University President Aondover Tarhule to students at approximately 10 a.m. on August 18, the first official day of class.
The email titled, “A message from President Tarhule,” covered topics relating to back-to-school information, how to get involved on campus, Illinois State’s ‘Excellence by Design’ and new federal policies, financial pressures on the university and the return of the Presidential Speaker Series.
Chris Coplan, ISU’s Director of Media Relations and Strategic Communications, offered insight on whether additional updates from President Tarhule are expected soon.
“I would expect additional updates to be made available with the State of the University address in late September,” said Coplan.
Tarhule is approaching this new academic year with optimism.
“I look forward to a busy, productive fall term and am grateful for the opportunity for us to go forward together with a shared commitment to scholarship, service, and excellence,” said Tarhule.
