NORMAL – The Illinois State Redbirds (11-8; 4-2) will travel to Peoria to take on their I-74 rival Bradley University (9-10; 1-5) on Wednesday. The Redbirds will come into the matchup winners in their last two games, including their first road win against Evansville last Saturday.
The Redbirds will try for their second consecutive road win on Wednesday, after splitting the season series and losing in Peoria last season. Before that loss, Illinois State had not lost to Bradley since 2014 and will be looking to continue their recent trend of dominance.
After travelling to Bradley, the Redbirds will return to Doug Collins Court on Sunday to take on Indiana State, looking to take advantage of two teams below them in the standings. The Sycamores hold a 2-4 record in conference with only one of those wins coming on the road. The Redbirds also split the season series against Indiana State last season.
Over the last week the Redbirds have been able to catapult their confidence with two conference wins and are definitely looking to continue the hot streak. Sunday’s game against Indiana State can be heard on WZND, starting with a pregame show at 12:50.
