NORMAL, Ill.- The Illinois State volleyball team defeated Indiana State three sets to none Thursday afternoon in the quarter final of the Missouri Valley Conference tournament.

The Redbirds continued their dominate stretch of volleyball they have been playing over the last month. They swept Indiana State winning 25-13, 25-20, and 25-17 to advance in the Missouri Valley tournament.

Illinois State was led by a trio of players with double-digit kills. Kaylee Martin and Sydney Holt led the team with 12 kills apiece. Sarah Kushner had herself a day as well adding 11 kills and five service aces.

The Redbirds will be back in action tomorrow afternoon as they will play the Bradley Braves in the semi-finals of the MVC tournament. The Braves advanced due to Valparaiso having Covid-19 issues.
