RITTZ – The Castle Theatre

Kate Karvelis April 4, 2024

By: Kate Karvelis

On April 5th, RITTZ returned to The Castle Theatre. RITTZ is on his third tour, and has played in Bloomington before. RITTZ was very excited to return to The Castle Theatre, as he said multiple times during his set that he loves the Bloomington crowd. The setup was cool, they had wire-fence posts, to give the illusion we were somewhere else. During RITTZ’s performance, the wire was revealed to have LED lights. All of the performers have very dedicated fans, and that was very clear during the show.

Noble Poets was the opening act, and they had very deep songs. Before each song the duo would explain the backstory to each song, and what the lyrics meant to the band, which Gavin and I really enjoyed.

G-Mo-Skee was the second act. After a quick transition, G-Mo-Skee and his DJ came out, and sang ‘[Mess] it all up’ which Gavin and I enjoyed the most. Most of G-Mo-Skee’s music was comical in nature, and revolved around funny topics, such as no one stealing his hat. He also added some comedy between sets.

Lastly, RITTZ came out. He and his DJ brought the energy, and is a talented rapper. RITTZ showed lots of appreciation for his fans, bringing them onstage, and signing his merch for the fans. It is clear that he has a very dedicated fan base as well.

Favorite song [Mess] it Up.
