Council Member Kathleen Lorenz asked about the $10,150 given to the Illinois Art Station. City Manager Pamela Reece explained was payment for a collaboration between the town’s museum and the organization where they were sourced for staffing.

Among the items passed in the meeting was a resolution to contract a local construction firm to maintain certain historical sites within the town. Council Member Karyn Smith asked some clarifying questions, to which Reece explained some specifics of the resolution. The goal is to complete repairs on local historical landmarks the Hewett House, Sprague’s Service Station and Broadview Mansion.
