New Director of Wellness at YMCA

NORMAL, Ill. – The YMCA has announced a new director of wellness.

Leah Sanders has worked for Carle Health and Fitness Center and Heartland Community college along with work experiences out of state overseeing several fitness and exercise-oriented programs. YMCA is a non- profit organization with a mission to strengthen the community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Their core values include caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.

A few more names added to the team, Betsy Williams will be the senior director of program development and Johnathan Jordan as the WAVES swim team head coach. Jordan succeeds coach Yourd who was WAVES head coach for 24 years.

Membership includes access to all fitness classes, kid care while you work out, a gymnasium, track, and many more benefits.

YMCA staff are awaiting the opening of the new Bloomington- Normal YMCA facility during the summer of 2022.
