BREAKING: McLean County announces first COVID-19 case

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – McLean County Health Department confirmed its first case of the coronavirus in the county.
A man in his 70s was confirmed Thursday afternoon to have the virus however, he had no history travel or exposure.
“I have confidence in the ability of our staff and local healthcare partners to respond to this situation. We are working with the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) to protect our community and limit the further spread of the virus,” said Jessica McKnight, the Health Department Administrator.
The Health Department is working to identify anyone who has come in contact with the case.
Cases COVID-19 are expected to increase as testing increases, according to the Governor’s daily press briefing and IDPH.
The man is currently in good condition and being treated in isolation at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center in Normal.
