NORMAL, Ill. – Illinois State basketball travels to Nashville, TN, to play the Belmont Bruins tomorrow at noon.
ISU has won two in a row, both at home against Bradley and Northern Iowa. Their record now sits at 14-6 with a 6-3 conference record. Belmont comes into the game red hot as well, winning 4 in a row and a 17-3 record and 7-2 in conference.
The Redbirds look to lean on red-hot Boden Skunberg, as he has scored over 20 points in the past two games. Skunberg on the season is averaging 11 points per game.
Chase Walker will be down low in the paint as he averages 14 points and 6 rebounds a game. Johnny Kinziger, 11.5, and Ty’Reek Coleman, 10.5, are also double-digit scorers for the Redbirds.
On the defensive end, ISU will have to watch out for Tyler Lundblade. Lunblade averages 15 points a game and shoots 40% from three. Belmont’s big man, Sam Orme, is another name who shoots over 50% from the field, scoring 13 a game.
