Illinois State Basketball Travels to Indianapolis for the NIT Semifinals

NORMAL, Ill. – The Redbirds will face off against the Auburn Tigers for a trip to the NIT Championship.

Tip-off inside Hinkle Fieldhouse is at 8:30 p.m.

ISU comes into the game with a record of 23-12 and on a three-game winning streak. Chase Walker is the leading scorer, averaging just under 14 points a game. The other double-digit scorer for ISU is Johnny Kinziger with 11.7 points a game.

The Auburn Tigers come into the game on Thursday at 20-16 and on a three-game winning streak. The Tigers’ leading scorer is Keyshawn Hall, who is scoring just around 19 points per game. Other double-digit is Tahaad Pettiford with 15.3, Kevin Overton with 13.7, and Keyshawn Murphy scoring 10.7 points.

The winner will head to Gainbridge Fieldhouse for the championship against either Tulsa or New Mexico on Sunday.
