IHSA Week 9 Recap: Final Week of the Regular Season

NORMAL, Ill. – The regular season is over with and the first round of playoffs kicks off this coming week.
Bloomington Central Catholic remained perfect throughout the regular season, winning 41-0 against Prairie Central. The Saints’ record is 9-0, and they got a spot in the 3A playoffs. Central Catholic will host Princeton at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 1st.
Normal West was victorious over Urbana on Friday, 57-15. The Wildcats finished with a record of 7-2 and got a spot in the 6A playoffs. In round one, the Wildcats will host Thornwood on Saturday, Nov. 1st, at 1 p.m.
Bloomington High School defeated Centennial on Friday with a score of 37-6. The Purple Raiders finish with a record of 6-3 and received a birth into the 5A playoffs. Bloomington will host Mascoutah on Saturday, Nov. 1st, at 6 p.m.
Normal University won big this week over Lanphier, 52-14. The Pioneers finish the regular season with a record of 5-4. U-High made the 5A playoffs, as they will travel to Washington to face the Panthers this Friday, Oct. 31st, at 7 p.m.
Normal Community lost to Peoria on Friday with a score of 36-14. The Ironmen’s record moves down to 7-2, but they still have a spot in the Class 7A playoffs. Normal Community will travel to face Caramel on Saturday, Nov. 1st, at 1 p.m.
