WZND is proud to empower our local community with resources and information on voting in this year’s upcoming election. We believe that informed citizens are the backbone of our democracy, and we are dedicated to ensuring that everyone has access to the tools and knowledge to participate in the electoral process.
Click here to check if you’re registered to vote in the State of Illinois. To check if you’re registered, you will have to enter some personal information, such as your first and last name, your birthday, and your five digit zipcode. (Note: The registration period for the online voter registration system will close at 11:59 PM on 10/20/2024 and will reopen on 11/07/2024)
Click here for an interactive map of polling places in McLean County. This map allows you to enter your address to find out which precinct you will be voting in and where you should go to vote. Along with the address for your polling place, a picture of your polling place and information about the hours of your polling place and whether your polling place is handicap accessible or not is also available.

Voting resources provided by the ISU Center for Civic Engagement include: registering to vote, ways to vote (by mail, online, on election day) and important dates for voting, information about the candidates and issues (for federal offices, state offices, Illinois state courts, McLean County offices, and other ballot initiatives), and a list of election-related events happening on campus.
TurboVote gives you a countdown to election day, helps you register to vote, allows you to check if you’re already registered to vote, and to preregister to vote if you are under the age of 18. On TurboVote, you can also learn about voting early, voting by mail, voting in person, where to vote, and how to contact your state’s election office. Election reminders are also available through TurboVote, if you choose to sign up for them.
