WEATHER ADVISORIES
The National Weather Service in Lincoln has issued a hazardous weather outlook for the entire WZND listening area. The extreme cold temperatures are expected to begin early Friday morning and last until Wednesday. Bitterly cold wind chills near 15 below will be expected Sunday night.
The National Weather Service in Lincoln has also issued a winter storm watch for the entire WZND listening area. The advisory will be in effect from Saturday morning through Sunday afternoon. Snow will develop Saturday afternoon into Sunday evening. Accumulations of an inch or two are likely throughout Saturday night.
ROAD CONDITIONS AND CLOSURES
Most roads in and out of McLean County will be hazardous and slippery when snow begins Saturday afternoon. North winds gusting up to 25 mph will produce blowing and drifting snow.
SCHOOL CLOSURES AND DELAYS
Normal Unit 5 Schools will be closed.
Bloomingtin District 87 will be closed.
Olympia CUSD 16 will be closed.
LeRoy CUSD #2 will have an E-Learning day.
Tri-Valley School District #3

MUNICIPAL PARKING BANS, SNOW ROUTES, AND ALERTS
The City of Bloomington will implement a Snow Route Parking Ban at 6 p.m. on Saturday. The ban applies to all designated snow routes to allow snowplows and emergency vehicles to operate safely. For more information, visit bloomingtonil.gov/snow
The Town of Normal has issued a Snow Parking Ban on all streets, going into effect at 5 p.m. on Saturday and lasting until noon on Monday. For more information, visit normalil.gov/alertcenter.
