Central Catholic Ready For Must Win Game At Rantoul

Bloomington- After starting their season with a record of 2-4, every game is a must win for the Central Catholic Saints.
After a winless 2018 campaign, the Saints are looking like an improved group. In their four losses the Saints have had chances to win, having lost by no more than two scores in each game. In three of the four Coach Braucht’s team has had the ball for the last play of the game but were unable to convert on the opportunity.
While they haven’t gotten the results, he’s wanted Saints head coach Kevin Braucht admits that there have been some takeaways from their early season struggles.
“We’re just trying to reestablish that winning culture. I think those early defeats proved to these guys, those were games they lost 40 to nothing last year and we’re right there. It gives us confidence. I don’t really like moral victories but they all really have been moral victories.” Said Braucht.
Playing away from home has been a struggle for the Saints as they 0-3 on the road. This week they’ll face a winless Rantoul team. Braucht is confident that his team can put any road woes behind them if they remain focused.
“For us it’s just a matter of making sure we can handle our business, making sure that our routine and our schedule are intact, and just going about our business.”
Braucht and the Saints will travel east to Rantoul Township High School to take on the Eagles tonight. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00.
