NORMAL, Ill. Located on the second floor of The Bone Student Center, Illinois State University’s Career Services Center provides students with networking resources and career advising to help them prepare for post-grad life.
Career Service Center Student Receptionist Kaley Beckman explained what the resource provides and what the job application process should look like pre-graduation.
“We have different advisors for almost every major here on campus, when it is time to apply for jobs we recommend students to come in and sit down with their career advisor to go over the job application process”, Beckman said.
The Career Service Center holds career fairs throughout the semester to encourage student-to-employer connections. According to Beckman grad students should start looking and applying to jobs six months out from graduation so they can get ahead of the game.
