NORMAL, Ill. – Central Catholic’s picture-perfect season continues this Friday night. The 6-0 Saints are looking ready for the back half of the season.

Head Coach of the Saints, Kevin Braucht, has highlighted the team’s success throughout the season.

“Consistency on how we are playing on Friday nights. Consistency in how we prepare Monday through Thursday to get ready for the week. We have a really good group that’s really focused on the main thing and not really getting ahead of themselves,” Braucht said. “I think our ability to be consistent in all the areas on the field and off the field is evidence of a good start.”

Even with a playoff spot locked down for Central Catholic, Braucht and the Saints are still focused on the rest of the season.

“We are turning the page every week, and I think that our guys compartmentalize the week and forget about what we did the week before, and understand that for us to continue to improve,” Braucht said. “I think the number one thing for us is looking at ourselves week to week and trying to make the necessary improvements we need to make internally and really just worry about us.”

Central Catholic is looking to finish the season undefeated with 3 games left to play. Practice is still serious for the Saints.

“We do the same fundamental drills, either offense or defensively, regardless of what our record is and regardless of the results. I think always focusing on the fundamentals, like protecting the football, tackling, and blocking, those are things we are going to focus on regardless.”

Bloomington Central Catholic is at home on Friday night, October 10th, to host St. Joseph-Ogden.
