NORMAL, Ill. – A local Bloomington-Normal restaurant is having a fundraiser on Sunday, February 5 to help raise funds for the prevention of child abuse.

BloNo Pizza Co. is working in collaboration with the Child Protecting Network to host a golf tournament in their facility. The CPN is an organization dedicated towards treating and preventing child abuse in Central Illinois. Since 2021 the CPN has provided funds and services to the care of over 260 children in the McLean county area.

The fundraising event will include an 18-hole all-seasons golf tournament along with food, kids activities, celebrity bartending and raffles.

Katie Fudge, an owner of BloNo Pizza Co., spoke on how she can appreciate the restaurant being put to use with serving a noble charity for the local area.

“Obviously it’s for a great cause,” Fudge said. “Our goal is to do as many fundraisers and charity events that we can for the community.”

This event is an all ages event and will start at noon and end at 4 p.m. Doors for this event open at 11:30 a.m.
