NORMAL, Ill. – After a close win on Friday with a dull offensive performance, the Bloomington Bison flipped the script with a 7-2 win over the Iowa Heartlanders after scoring seven straight goals.

In the second, Iowa got another quick goal after just 2:36. From here on out however, the tone of the game would completely change.
After some more back and forth, Ayden MacDonald scored the first of many goals for the Bison in the middle of the second.
The Bison kept up the momentum, as just three minutes later they scored for a second time. And less than a minute later, leading scorer Eddie Matsushima got his 18th goal.
Heading into the third period with a 3-2 lead, Bloomington showed no signs of slowing down. Iowa got a couple of early shots, but Hugo Olias held strong. Just under seven minutes into the period, defenseman Brenden Datema scored the teams’ fourth goal.
