Arrests Made in Shots Fired Incident

BLOOMINGTON – Bloomington Police responded to a report of an armed subject and shots fired incident on the 800 block of East Washington Street.
The cops arrived as the event was occurring, and several people fled the scene. Officers not only identified two adult victims and many witnesses, but were able to locate physical evidence that a shooting occurred that was supported by witness statements.
With the help of the witnesses, and 911 callers, officers were able to track the suspects to a building in the 700 block of East Jefferson Street. BPD’s officers, detectives, and the Street Crimes Unit obtained a search warrant for a residence in the 700 block of East Jefferson Street, in connection with the crime. A firearm and ammunition were located during the search. Those items are still under investigation.
Derrell Hibbler, 21, of Bloomington, Lardarius Carroll, 21, of Bloomington, and Tiquan Hamer, 23, of Bloomington were arrested under the charge of Mob Action / Force / Two or More Persons. There were no injuries during this incident. This investigation is still ongoing. No more information will be released at this time.
