COVID-19 Case-by-Case Update

NORMAL, Ill.- McLean County Health Department is reporting 56 new cases of COVID-19 today, bringing our total to 1292 cases.
At this time 493 individuals are isolating at home. Three individuals are currently hospitalized. There are 780 individuals that have been released from isolation and are considered recovered.
There have been 16 COVID-related deaths in McLean County.
The age breakdowns for the new cases:
Ages 18-19: 13 cases
Ages 20s: 35 cases
Ages 30s: 4 cases
Ages 40s: 3 cases
Ages 50s: 1 case
Over 42,300 tests have been resulted for a cumulative positivity rate of 3.1%. The rolling 7-day positivity rate is 8.4% through Aug. 26, 2020.
“We have had nearly 250 new cases of COVID reported in McLean County since Monday and have seen the positivity rate in our county and region increasing,” said Health Department Administrator Jessica McKnight. “We continue to keep a close eye on these data indicators and are sharing situational updates with our local leaders to help them make informed decisions about implementing additional precautions.”
Due to the rapid increase in active cases, our capacity to investigate active cases and provide contact tracing in a timely manner has been impacted. The McLean County Health Department will continue to work diligently to follow-up with those who test positive, however if you test positive for COVID-19 do not wait to hear from the Health Department to begin your isolation.
Regionally there is six days of positivity increases and three days of hospital admission increases.
