IHSA Football Week 7 Preview

Normal, Ill. — Bloomington-Normal IHSA football teams went a combined 5-0 in a very impressive week six. With three weeks remaining, all five teams continue to build momentum for the playoffs.
Normal Community High School is coming off a win against Peoria, winning 52-16 to improve to 6-0. Normal Community will now take on Neuqua Valley at home in a week seven non-conference matchup. The Ironmen have put up an impressive 302 points this season.
Normal West is also 6-0, coming off a win against Urbana 54-0. Normal West will hit the road this week before returning home for its final two games, including a highly anticipated week nine matchup with the Ironmen.
Normal University High School is coming off its first win of the season against Lincoln, winning 42-0. The Pioneers will hit the road this week to take on No. 10 Rochester. The Pioneers will look to their defense for another solid performance, with the Rockets averaging a stout 5.5 touchdowns per game.
Bloomington Central Catholic has now won three straight after taking down St. Teresa 36-22 last week. The Saints will hit the road once again to take on undefeated St. Joseph-Ogden in a conference matchup.
Bloomington High School is coming off a road win against Centennial, winning 21-13. The Purple Raiders will return home after three straight road games to take on Peoria Notre Dame in a conference matchup. BHS will look to extend their winning streak to three straight games.
