Illinois State Looking to Split Series versus UIC on Sunday

NORMAL, Ill. – The Redbirds travel to Credit Union 1 Arena Sunday afternoon to face off against the UIC Flames at 2 p.m.
The two squads met back in January at CEFCU Arena, with the Flames winning in overtime, 63-59. Abdul Momoh was the leader for the Flames with 15 points. Mason Klabo was ISU’s leading scorer with 15 as well.
The Redbirds head into the matchup 17-9 with a Missouri Valley Conference record of 9-6 after an 86-64 victory versus Valparaiso on Thursday. The Flames are 14-12 and 9-6 in MVC play after an 80-70 win over Drake on Thursday.
Chase Walker is the leading scorer for ISU, averaging 14 points a game. Meanwhile, for the Flames, Ahmad Henderson and Elijah Crawford average 12 points a game, leading the way.
