NORMAL, Ill. – Home Sweet Home Ministries continues to grow its community event, bringing together hundreds of participants and expanding its impact throughout the area.
What began as a small gathering has grown into a much larger event that raises awareness and encourages involvement across the community.
Leslie Bunge, who is involved with Home Sweet Home Ministries, said the event started with only 15 to 20 participants. Participation has since grown significantly, with more than 200 people now taking part.
“We have people of all ages who participate,” Bunge said.
Many attendees come as part of groups, including friends and youth organizations.
“We see groups of friends and youth groups come out and participate together,” she said.
Bunge mentioned that the event helps participants better understand others and the mission of Home Sweet Home Ministries.
“It gives people insight and helps them understand more about others and the community,” she said.
In addition to in-person participation, the event also allows people to stay involved remotely.
“People can participate remotely and follow along with those at the event,” Bunge said.
With continued growth and strong community support, the event remains an important part of Home Sweet Home Ministries’ efforts to connect with and serve the community.
