Week 7 IHSA Football Recap

NORMAL Ill. – It was a very high scoring week 7 of high school football in Bloomington/Normal.
Normal Community showed no mercy against Danville this week. The Ironmen beat the Vikings 41-0. This improves their record to 6-1 on the season, and undefeated in conference play. Catch Ironmen football action at home this Friday, October 17th at 7 p.m. vs Centennial.
The Purple Raiders fell short for the second week in a row against Peoria Notre Dame. After the 53-19 loss, Bloomington looks to bounce back in their next conference game vs the Peoria Lions. Catch all the action on October 17th at 7 p.m. at home.
Bloomington Central Catholic displayed their offensive fire power against St. Joseph-Ogden in a 67-28 victory. The Saints improve to 7-0 on the season, and look to keep their win streak alive. Bloomington Central Catholic faces off against Pontiac Friday, October 17th at 7 p.m. on the road.
Normal West had a big win this week over Manual 48-0. The Wildcats improve their win streak to three games and now have an overall record of 5-2. Their next game is against Champaign Central this Friday on the road.
Normal University made a statement this week vs Decatur Eisenhower, winning 55-12 after their blowout loss last week. The Pioneers improve their record to 3-4 as they try to make a late season playoff push. Their next game is an away matchup vs Springfield Southeast on Friday, October 17th at 7 p.m.
