WEEK SIX FOOTBALL WRAP-UP: BLOOMINGTON TAKES FIRST LOSS OF THE SEASON AGAINST NORMAL COMMUNITY

NORMAL, Ill. – Through six weeks, there was a major upset and some interesting wins in the Bloomington-Normal high school football area. Let’s get into the action.
Normal Community solidified themselves on top of Bloomington with a 30-point win. The final score was 44-14. The Ironmen had 166 rushing yards on the day. They’ll host Danville on Friday at 7 pm.
Normal West took care of Waboneise Valley with a final of 21-7. 308 total yards of offense for the Wildcats. They’ll travel to Manual and play the Rams at 7 pm on Friday.
Bloomington suffered its first loss of the season to Normal Community, 44-14. This Friday, it will host Peoria Notre Dame at 7 pm.
UHigh took care of Glenwood this past week with a 33-13 final. The Pioneers will travel to Decatur Eisenhower this week and kick off Friday at 7 pm.
Bloomington Central Catholic did not do so well in week 6, losing to St. Joseph Ogden 38-19. The Saints’ defense led up to 436 yards of offense. They’ll look to bounce back on the road against Illinois Valley Central on Friday at 7 p.m.
