The Normal West Wildcats take on the Richmond-Burton Rockets Saturday, September 17th at 3 p.m.
Normal West is coming off a 21-4 victory in an away game against Normal Community High School. The Wildcats have been dominating teams all throughout the season, as they defeated Bloomington 46-0 and Champaign Central 42-0.
This upcoming game will be a test for Normal West, as Richmond-Burton is also 3-0 on the season.
In last week’s game, Richmond-Burton defeated Marengo 48-21. Each game the Rockets have played, they beat their opponents by a large margin, as they beat Menominee 61-6 and UPBUPE 49-0.
Normal West WR/CB Xavier Edwards will look to keep adding on to his high-paced start of the season. Edwards makes plays on both sides of the field, catching passes from QB Jayden Mangruem and making plays on the defensive side of the ball.
This is a huge game for both teams, as one of the schools’ undefeated seasons will end this Saturday.
