NORMAL – Fans of Redbird football gathered in the Hancock Stadium Club Wednesday night for a Press Conference as coach Brock Spack talked about the 2018 signing class.

In addition to the 21 student-athletes already signed in December, the Redbirds added 10 more players during National Signing Day. The class of 31 includes all offensive and defensive positions in addition to three walk-ons and two mid-year transfers.

The press conference consisted on the coach thanking the entire staff for their time and efforts throughout the process. Spack opened up for questions to talk about the program and his thoughts on the new recruits.

“We have a lot of depth within the classes,” said Spack. “We’re able to go out and recruit a bunch of guys that we thought would fit our needs.”

Thanks to the football and athletic staff, the Redbirds have found guys who can fill the vacancies that lead to a successful football team.

The Redbirds football team will begin their spring practice in late March. Redbird fans are welcome to join the team for the annual Spring Showcase April 21st at noon at Hancock Stadium.
