NORMAL- The United States Hockey League’s Central Illinois Flying Aces are currently in second place of the Eastern Conference. After 13 games, their record sits at 7-5-1.

This weekend the Flying Aces hockey team will travel to Dubuque, Iowa to take on the Fighting Saints. They will then travel back home to host the Saints along with the Muskegon Lumberjacks. The Saints are currently in third place of the Eastern Conference and the Lumberjacks are in first holding the division down with a record of 10-1. Flying Aces assistant coach Andy Contois had high praise about his team.

“For sure Trevor Janicke,” said Contois. “He’s our captain, he’s our heart and soul of the team, especially upfront. You know it’s his draft year, he’s counted as a top three round draft pick. So for sure him.”

The Aces captain has 15 points coming from six goals and nine assists.

Games this weekend will be Saturday night at 7:07 p.m. and Sunday at 4:07 p.m.
