NORMAL – No cheesy joke here, Illinois State University students gathered on the Quad on Wednesday to celebrate National Cheese Fondue Day. ISU’s Program Board presented “Have a Cheesy Day,” a cheesy surprise for Students on the Quad of ISU. The event was a celebration of all things cheesy in honor of Wednesday being National Cheese Fondue Day. Students could enjoy cheese fondue is any dish with melted cheese in it.

The event had macaroni, cheese infused pretzels, nachos, and many more cheesy dishes.

“It’s such a nice day out, UPB has a lot of good snacks,” event attendee Dejah Burton said about her experience at the event.

With multiple classes throughout the day, students could feel over whelmed. UPB’s Cheesy Surprise was quick to give them a fun break.

“My days are really long filled with classes. It can sometimes be stressful. I wasn’t going to eat until later, but this was a fun surprise,” Burton added.

With the sun beaming down on the Quad of ISU, Burton added that a little dish of cheese was a perfect way to top off the day.

“The University Program board did this event and that’s really cool because they always do fun stuff for us,” Burton said.

The UPB is a Student-Led organization within the Dean of Students Office. The organization is dedicated to providing Students with fun, educational, cultural and social events.
